This statement was Peter’s response to Jesus when asked who he believed Jesus to be. Jesus would then say that this truth, the truth of his identity, would be the rock upon which he would build his church. At that moment, the church’s foundation was revealed, and a renovation in people’s hearts began. This renovation continues today as Jesus is still in the process of making all things new.


The building of the church and the renovation of hearts continued in March of 1985 when a faithful group of believers planted Baptist Temple in McAllen, Tx. Since then, countless lives have been impacted by the work of Jesus. Untold numbers of men, women, and children have placed their faith in Christ and have experienced the rewriting of their eternities. I believe this work is far from over for the people of BT Church. We find ourselves in an exciting season where God is doing powerful work, and the fires of revival are burning bright in south Texas. I believe this next season in the life of our church will be monumental as we continue to trust God to do the work only he can do.


I am looking to gather with individuals who have gone above and beyond in the areas of generosity, leadership, and influence at BT Church. Because you are one of those people, I want to personally invite you to a gathering of “brick layers” to hear the vision for this upcoming season.


We will be offering three gatherings and ask that you choose one. Please pick the date that best suits you, and make plans to join us for a time of food and fellowship as we discuss how BT will continue to be a vessel of God to do a work of renovation across south Texas and beyond.

Please know this event is designed for adults only. RSVPs are limited to 1-2 per household, individual invitee and or spouse. We will have children and student engagement events designed especially for them in early 2023.

We believe God is making all things new for people of all generations.
